A decorated American military hero is dead after being gunned down by an ISIS-supporting terrorist at Old Dominion University in Virginia—and the killer's background reveals everything wrong with our nation's immigration and vetting systems.

Lieutenant Colonel Brandon Shah, a respected military instructor, was fatally shot Thursday by Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, a naturalized citizen and former National Guard soldier who was previously convicted of supporting the Islamic State terrorist organization. Let that sink in, Patriots—this wasn't some random act of violence. This was terrorism, plain and simple.

How does someone with a known ISIS conviction end up with access to an American university? How does a terrorist sympathizer slip through the cracks of our supposedly "robust" national security apparatus? These are the questions the Deep State doesn't want you asking.

The Victim: A True American Hero

Lieutenant Colonel Shah dedicated his life to serving this great nation and training the next generation of military leaders. While the mainstream media obsesses over every microscopic detail of Trump's policies, they'll likely bury this story because it doesn't fit their narrative that America's real threat comes from MAGA supporters.

Shah's family, friends, and students have lost a patriot who embodied the best of American values—cut down by someone who should never have been allowed to remain in this country after showing allegiance to our enemies.

Failed System, Deadly Consequences

This attack highlights the catastrophic failures of the previous administration's immigration and security policies. When you prioritize political correctness over public safety, innocent Americans pay the ultimate price.

President Trump's renewed focus on securing our borders and rooting out terrorist threats couldn't be more urgent. Every day we delay comprehensive immigration reform and enhanced vetting procedures is another day we leave our citizens—and our heroes—vulnerable to those who hate everything America stands for.

How many more Lieutenant Colonel Shahs will we lose before we get serious about protecting the homeland from enemies both foreign and domestic?

How did this person get through the naturalization process with ISIS sympathies? There needs to be a complete review of our screening procedures.

Good question. Makes you wonder how many others slipped through the cracks.

This happened just 20 minutes from where I live. Absolutely shocking that this could happen in our community.

The mainstream media will probably ignore this story or downplay the terrorism angle. They never want to admit when their open border policies lead to tragedy.

Already seeing that happen. CNN buried this on page 3 of their website.

This is exactly why we need extreme vetting! Our military heroes shouldn't have to worry about being attacked on their own soil by people we welcomed into this country.

Absolutely agree. I served two tours overseas just to come home to this nonsense.

RIP to our fallen hero. This radical ideology has no place in America.

My son is applying to Virginia colleges right now and this terrifies me. Campus security clearly failed here.
