Former Obama administration DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson just revealed everything wrong with the failed establishment approach to terrorism and immigration. Speaking on Fox News about the recent terrorist attack at Old Dominion University, Johnson actually complained that stripping citizenship from naturalized terrorists is too "cumbersome" - and said he'd rather just put them in jail.
Think about that for a moment, Patriots. A naturalized citizen who was previously convicted of supporting terrorists carried out an attack on American soil, and the Obama regime's former top immigration official thinks the real problem is that removing their citizenship involves too much paperwork.
This is precisely the kind of weak, bureaucratic thinking that put America at risk for eight long years under Obama and Biden. While everyday Americans suffer the consequences of radical Islamic terrorism, the deep state worries about making the deportation process more "streamlined."
Trump's Approach: America First, Not Terrorists First
The contrast couldn't be clearer between Johnson's failed approach and President Trump's America First agenda. While establishment swamp creatures like Johnson prioritize the "rights" of foreign-born terrorists, the Trump-Vance administration is focused on one thing: protecting the American people.
Under Trump's mass deportation program, naturalized citizens who commit acts of terrorism or support terrorist organizations should absolutely have their citizenship revoked and be shipped back to whatever hellhole they came from. That's not "cumbersome" - that's called justice.
"We need to make it easier, not harder, to remove people who hate America and want to harm Americans," one immigration enforcement advocate told Next News Network. "Johnson's comments show exactly why we needed to drain the swamp."
The fact that this terrorist had a previous conviction for supporting terrorists and was still allowed to remain in the country as a naturalized citizen exposes the utter failure of Obama-era immigration policies. How many more Americans have to suffer because weak leaders like Johnson think protecting foreign criminals is more important than protecting American lives?
Johnson's pathetic response perfectly encapsulates why voters overwhelmingly rejected the failed establishment and chose Trump's strong leadership. Americans are tired of being told that keeping terrorists in expensive federal prisons is somehow preferable to sending them back where they came from.
It's time to ask the hard question: How many more terrorist attacks will it take before the deep state admits that President Trump's tough immigration enforcement was right all along?
