Here we go again, Patriots. Another glaring example of how the Washington establishment puts bureaucratic politics ahead of American lives – and it's absolutely infuriating.
After a devastating midair collision between a military helicopter and a passenger jet last year, you'd think Congress would move heaven and earth to prevent another tragedy. The solution is sitting right there: the ROTOR Act, which would mandate improved aircraft surveillance technology that experts say could have prevented that deadly crash.
But guess what? The House just FAILED to advance this life-saving legislation earlier this month. Why? Because Pentagon bureaucrats opposed it, and apparently that's all it takes to kill common-sense safety measures in the swamp.
The Technology Exists – So What's the Holdup?
We're talking about Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) – technology that's already proven to work and could be deployed broadly to prevent future disasters. This isn't some pie-in-the-sky experiment. It's real, it works, and it saves lives.
The same story is playing out with train derailments. We've seen the data, we know what works, but Congress continues to drag its feet while everyday Americans pay the price with their safety – and sometimes their lives.
"After a midair collision and a train derailment, Congress faces a simple test: Will it follow the evidence?"
Apparently not, if it means standing up to the military-industrial complex or rocking the boat in any way.
America First Means Safety First
This is exactly the kind of government dysfunction that President Trump has been fighting against. While the Trump administration pushes for real solutions and accountability, Congress remains stuck in the same old patterns of bureaucratic obstruction.
How many more crashes will it take? How many more families have to lose loved ones because our representatives can't follow basic data and implement proven safety technology?
The American people deserve better than this pathetic display of political cowardice. It's time for Congress to put lives over lobbying and data over politics. Our safety shouldn't be negotiable – period.
