According to sources familiar with Senate leadership discussions, Republican establishment figures are preparing at least four different schemes to derail Trump's voting protection legislation without having to take public stands that would expose their true anti-MAGA colors to voters back home.
The most cowardly tactic involves Republican leadership deliberately avoiding the use of a talking filibuster – a move that would force senators to actually stand up and defend their positions on the Senate floor for hours. Instead, these swamp creatures prefer to kill Trump's agenda in the shadows where angry constituents can't see their treachery.
