A retired Baltimore County police officer is standing firm on his First Amendment rights after losing his school bus driving job for refusing to remove his Make America Great Again hat while on duty.

Dave Bonhoff, who served the Littlestown Area School District in Pennsylvania, was forced out of his position after student complaints about his well-worn MAGA hat that he proudly displayed during his daily routes through the small borough near the Maryland border.

"I want to be able to express myself. I don't want somebody to tell me, 'Well, my feelings are hurt. You got to take the hat off,'" Bonhoff told WHP-TV, exemplifying the kind of backbone that built America.

This is exactly the kind of patriotic American that school districts should be celebrating, not silencing. Here's a man who served his community as a police officer, then continued serving by safely transporting children to school each day. His reward? Getting canceled by the woke mob for supporting President Trump.

The Real Education Problem

While school administrators waste time policing MAGA hats, they're ignoring the real problems plaguing our education system. Students can't read or do basic math, but heaven forbid they see someone supporting the President of the United States!

Bonhoff's situation perfectly illustrates how the left has weaponized "hurt feelings" to crush constitutional rights. Since when did wearing a hat supporting the sitting President become grounds for termination? This is the same crowd that probably celebrated when teachers wore "Black Lives Matter" shirts or displayed pride flags.

"I want to be able to express myself. I don't want somebody to tell me, 'Well, my feelings are hurt. You got to take the hat off.'"

Patriots like Dave Bonhoff understand what too many Americans have forgotten: our rights aren't negotiable. They're not subject to the feelings of easily triggered students or virtue-signaling administrators.

This veteran chose his principles over his paycheck, and that's exactly the kind of courage we need more of in America. While school districts bow to woke pressure, real Americans are standing up and saying "enough is enough."

How many more Dave Bonhoffs will it take before we finally push back against this madness?

Good for him! This is exactly what's wrong with America today - you can't even wear a hat supporting your President without losing your job. Where's the tolerance the left always preaches about?

Exactly! They talk about diversity and inclusion but only if you think exactly like them.

I'm a driver too and we see this stuff all the time. Had a coworker get written up for having an American flag sticker on his lunch box. Meanwhile they let people wear BLM pins no problem.

Respect for standing by his principles! Too many people cave to the woke mob these days.

Does anyone know if there's a legal fund set up for this guy? This seems like clear political discrimination to me. First Amendment doesn't end when you clock in for work.
