Just three weeks into President Trump's historic second term, the swamp creatures are already showing their true colors. Despite Republicans controlling both chambers of Congress and having a clear mandate from the American people, some so-called "conservatives" are more worried about preserving arcane Senate rules than delivering the America First agenda that voters demanded.
The filibuster – that 60-vote threshold that has been weaponized by Democrats for decades to block conservative priorities – is once again becoming a flashpoint within the Republican Party. And guess who's leading the charge to keep this legislative roadblock in place? The same establishment RINOs who spent four years undermining Trump's first term.
Here's what these swamp dwellers don't want you to know: Every day the filibuster remains in place is another day that mass deportations get delayed, another day that the border wall sits incomplete, and another day that woke policies continue poisoning our military and federal agencies.
The RINO Resistance Strikes Again
While President Trump and his team are working around the clock to implement the mandate given to them by 74 million Americans, Senate Republicans are having "private discussions" about preserving the very rules that Democrats used to obstruct conservative governance for years. These are the same people who stood by silently while Chuck Schumer eliminated the filibuster when it suited Democrats' purposes.
Patriots, this is exactly the kind of establishment double-standard that drove us to elect Trump in the first place. When Democrats wanted to pack the courts with radical judges, did they worry about Senate traditions? When they rammed through trillions in wasteful spending, did they fret about bipartisanship?
The answer is hell no. They eliminated the filibuster faster than you can say "America Last."
President Trump didn't win the most decisive electoral victory in decades so that Senate Republicans could play patty-cake with the same Democrats who spent years calling him a fascist. He won because Americans are sick and tired of government that doesn't work for them.
The choice is clear: Republicans can either use every tool at their disposal to deliver the change Americans voted for, or they can cling to swamp traditions while the country burns. Which side do you think your senator is on?
