The cracks are starting to show in the Democrat facade as Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA) threw in the towel on live television, admitting that Republicans aren't backing down on the Department of Homeland Security shutdown.
During Friday's broadcast of NewsNation's "Cuomo," Smith made a stunning confession that should have every patriot cheering: "And we may have to accept the fact that the Republicans are refusing to do anything meaningful" regarding DHS funding.
Translation? The Democrats are losing, and they know it.
The Left's Fear-Mongering Falls Flat
Smith tried to ramp up the panic by claiming the situation is "getting more dangerous," but Americans aren't buying the same old scare tactics anymore. This is the party that spent four years telling us the border was "secure" while millions of illegal aliens poured across our southern border.
Now they want us to believe that Republicans standing firm on conservative principles is somehow the real threat?
"The situation around the DHS shutdown is getting more dangerous, and we may have to accept the fact that the Republicans are refusing to do anything meaningful."
What Smith won't tell you is that this "shutdown" could be the best thing to happen to American border security in years. The same DHS that enabled the Biden administration's open borders disaster is suddenly essential to our safety? Give us a break.
Trump's America First Agenda Working
This capitulation from Smith proves that President Trump's second-term strategy is already paying dividends. Republicans learned from the past and aren't folding like a cheap suit every time Democrats cry "crisis."
The American people elected Trump and gave Republicans control precisely because they were tired of the swamp's business-as-usual approach. Now we're seeing what real backbone looks like when our representatives actually fight for the America First agenda.
The question isn't whether the situation is "dangerous" - it's whether patriots will continue supporting Republicans who finally have the spine to stand up to Democrat fear-mongering. Based on Smith's defeated tone, the answer is a resounding yes.
