Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is so terrified of his radical left-wing base that he can't even bring himself to praise President Trump's successful efforts to degrade Iran's military infrastructure, according to Washington Examiner columnist Guy Benson.
During a heated exchange on MSNBC's Morning Joe, Schumer squirmed when host Joe Scarborough pressed him on whether it's objectively good that Iran's military capabilities have been severely weakened under Trump's leadership. Instead of acknowledging the obvious national security victory, Schumer deflected and dodged like a politician "looking over his shoulder," as Benson put it.
This is exactly what's wrong with today's Democrat Party. They're so consumed with Trump Derangement Syndrome and beholden to their extremist activist base that they literally cannot admit when America wins on the world stage.
Democrats Put Politics Over National Security
Think about how insane this is, patriots. Iran - a theocratic regime that chants "Death to America," funds terrorist organizations across the Middle East, and has been the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism for decades - has seen its military capabilities severely degraded. Any rational American should celebrate this as a massive victory for our national security.
But not Chuck Schumer. He's too busy worrying about what AOC and the Squad might tweet about him if he dares to give Trump credit where credit is due.
"Schumer is looking over his shoulder at his left-wing base," Benson observed, perfectly capturing how Democrats prioritize party politics over America's safety.
This is the same Chuck Schumer who spent four years undermining Trump's America First foreign policy, only to now watch Trump deliver results that even his critics can't deny. Iran is weaker, America is stronger, and our allies in the region are safer - but Schumer can't say it out loud.
The contrast couldn't be clearer. President Trump puts America first, while Democrats like Schumer put their radical base first. Which approach do you think better serves the American people?
