SELF-OWN SUPREME: Newsom Compares Himself to Patrick Bateman in Cringiest Political Moment Ever

You can't make this stuff up, folks. California Governor Gavin Newsom, in what might be the most spectacular political self-own in recent memory, has compared himself to Patrick Bateman – the psychopathic serial killer from "American Psycho." Yes, really.

The slick-haired Sacramento slimeball continues his desperate attempts to stay relevant while President Trump dominates the national conversation with actual leadership. But instead of mocking Trump as intended, Newsom just delivered the most unintentionally honest moment of his political career.

For those who haven't seen the movie, Patrick Bateman is a narcissistic Wall Street executive who murders people while obsessing over his appearance and status. He's literally a textbook psychopath who cares more about his skincare routine than human life. Ring any bells, Gavin?

Trump Living Rent-Free

What makes this even more pathetic is that Newsom's entire social media strategy revolves around trying to mock President Trump. The man is so consumed with jealousy that he can't help but constantly reference the leader who's actually making America great again.

"All Team Newsom does with these supposed mockery posts is amplify Trump, and in many ways, make his game more attractive and even more epic," notes RedState. They're absolutely right – while Trump is busy securing the border and draining the swamp, Newsom is playing dress-up and making movie references that backfire spectacularly.

"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery," and Newsom just can't stop imitating the man who owns his every waking thought.

The California governor, who has turned the Golden State into a homeless-infested, crime-ridden wasteland, apparently thinks comparing himself to a fictional serial killer is good politics. This is the same guy who locked down his state while dining maskless at fancy restaurants, remember?

Presidential Delusions

Newsom's 2028 presidential ambitions are about as realistic as his hair is natural, but moments like this remind Americans exactly why California is bleeding residents faster than a punctured water balloon. When your political strategy involves channeling fictional psychopaths, maybe it's time to find a new career.

While President Trump continues delivering real results for hardworking Americans, Newsom is stuck playing pretend politician on social media. The contrast couldn't be more clear – or more embarrassing for the Democrats' supposed "rising star."

This is exactly why I left California three years ago. The man literally compared himself to a fictional serial killer and thought it was a good idea. How tone deaf can you get?

Welcome to Texas! We've been getting a lot of refugees from Newsom's policies.

The fact that Patrick Bateman was even in his reference pool tells you everything you need to know about this guy's mindset. Normal politicians reference Washington or Lincoln, not psychopathic murderers from horror movies.

Right? And Patrick Bateman was literally the villain representing everything wrong with narcissistic elites. The irony is lost on him.

As someone who's had to deal with his business-killing regulations for years, this comparison actually makes perfect sense. Both are completely disconnected from reality and destructive to everything around them.

This is the same guy who shut down the entire state while dining maskless at French Laundry. Self-awareness has never been his strong suit, but this takes it to a whole new level.

Peak California politics right here folks. You literally cannot make this stuff up anymore.

Can someone explain what context this even came up in? Like what was he trying to accomplish here?
