The swamp is at it again, and this time conservative firebrands are drawing a line in the sand. Representatives Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) are threatening to torpedo Speaker Mike Johnson's plans to ram through another extension of the controversial FISA Section 702 surveillance program – the same Deep State tool that was weaponized against President Trump and countless Americans.

With an April 20 deadline looming, Johnson finds himself caught between the intelligence establishment demanding their spy powers and true conservatives who've had enough of warrantless government surveillance. The Speaker's razor-thin majority means he can't afford to lose even a handful of votes – and the conservative rebellion is growing.

"We cannot keep handing the Deep State a blank check to spy on American citizens," a source close to the conservative coalition told reporters. "After what they did to President Trump with their illegal surveillance operation, how can anyone trust these agencies with expanded powers?"

Section 702 of FISA allows intelligence agencies to conduct warrantless surveillance on foreign targets – but we've seen how easily this gets abused to spy on Americans. The FBI has already admitted to hundreds of thousands of illegal searches of American data, including targeting Trump campaign associates, journalists, and even ordinary citizens.

The Deep State's Favorite Weapon

This isn't just about technical surveillance laws – it's about whether the administrative state gets to keep operating like a rogue intelligence operation. President Trump himself was the victim of FISA abuse during the Russia hoax, and now his allies in Congress are saying "enough is enough."

Speaker Johnson, who has generally been supportive of Trump's agenda, now faces a critical test of whether he'll stand with the Deep State or with the patriots who sent him to drain the swamp. The conservative rebels aren't backing down, and they've got the votes to stop this in its tracks.

Will Johnson choose to side with the surveillance state, or will he finally put America First? Patriots across the country are watching – and they won't forget which side their representatives choose when the Deep State comes calling.

FINALLY! Johnson needs to remember who put him in that chair and what we expect from our leadership. These FISA powers have been abused for far too long against American citizens.

Exactly right! The Carter Page situation should have been the wake-up call we needed.

Good for these rebels! I'm sick of watching Republicans cave to the establishment every single time. If Johnson won't fight the deep state surveillance apparatus, then he shouldn't be Speaker.
