Here's your reminder that America's broken justice system is utterly failing to protect President Donald Trump from unhinged leftist threats – and it's only getting worse under weak-willed judges who think a slap on the wrist will cure Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Meet Diedrich Holgate, 47, a career criminal who just proved that 18 months in prison does absolutely nothing to cure someone of their obsessive hatred for our Commander-in-Chief. This deranged individual threatened to kill President Trump nearly three dozen times during the 2024 campaign through social media posts, phone calls, and voicemails – including the chilling declaration:

"I have the right to kill the president. I want to kill you."

After serving his pathetically short sentence, what did this model of "rehabilitation" do? He went right back to making MORE death threats against the 47th President of the United States.

The Left's Violence Problem Has Consequences

This isn't just about one unstable individual – it's about a pattern of leftist violence that our justice system refuses to take seriously. While January 6th protesters got years behind bars for trespassing, actual would-be assassins and threat-makers get country club sentences that clearly don't deter future attacks.

Patriots, we've seen two actual assassination attempts against President Trump, countless death threats from Hollywood elites, and now repeat offenders like Holgate proving that the current system is completely broken. How many more times will judges give these dangerous individuals a pass before someone gets hurt?

The Trump-Vance administration needs to make protecting our President – and holding his would-be attackers accountable – a top priority. This revolving door of threats and light sentences has to end before it's too late.

When will our justice system finally treat threats against President Trump with the seriousness they deserve? And how many more Holgates are out there, emboldened by weak sentences and leftist rhetoric?

This is exactly what's wrong with our justice system - slap on the wrist for threatening a former president! When will judges start taking these cases seriously?

Completely agree. If this was a threat against any Democrat politician, they'd throw the book at them.

I've seen this same pattern in my county courthouse. Repeat offenders get light sentences, then we act surprised when they reoffend. Common sense isn't so common anymore.

Same here. We arrest the same people over and over. System's broken from top to bottom.

What was the original sentence length? I'm curious if this person violated parole or if they actually served their full term before making new threats.

The radical left wants to defund police and coddle criminals while they threaten our leaders. This is what that looks like in practice.

Exactly right. They want chaos so they can seize more power.

Prison 'rehabilitation' is a joke when it comes to violent threats. Some people just can't be fixed.

How many chances does one person get? This lunatic should be locked up for YEARS not months!

Revolving door justice perfectly describes it. No wonder crime keeps getting worse when there are no real consequences.
