A stark contrast in national pride was on full display during the World Baseball Classic final in Miami, where Venezuelan players demonstrated more love for their country than Team USA showed for ours. The embarrassing spectacle should serve as a wake-up call for every patriotic American.

Before the thrilling matchup between underdog Venezuela and Team USA, both teams stood for their respective national anthems in front of Miami's massive Venezuelan diaspora community. What happened next was telling: every single Venezuelan player stood with his cap over his heart, belting out every word of their anthem with genuine conviction and passion.

Meanwhile, Team USA's performance was a disappointing display that reflected the cultural decay poisoning our institutions. This is what happens when years of leftist "America is evil" propaganda infiltrates our sports, our schools, and our society.

A Nation Scarred by Socialism Still Shows Pride

The irony couldn't be more striking. Venezuela - a nation devastated by decades of socialist misrule, economic collapse, and political unrest - still produces athletes who love their homeland. These players, many of whom have witnessed firsthand the horrors of leftist governance, stood proud.

Yet here in America, the greatest nation in human history, our own athletes often can't muster the same respect for the flag that hundreds of thousands have died defending. We've allowed the radical left to poison an entire generation against the very country that gave them unprecedented freedom and opportunity.

"This should be embarrassing for every American watching. When athletes from a failed socialist state show more pride in their anthem than our own team, we have a serious cultural problem."

President Trump has made it clear that his second term will focus on ending the "woke" policies that have infected our institutions. The contrast in Miami proves why this fight matters - we're losing our national identity to leftist ideologues who hate America.

It's time to ask ourselves: if players from a nation destroyed by socialism can still love their country, why can't ours? The answer lies in taking back our culture from the America-hating left that's spent decades telling our kids that patriotism is somehow wrong.

It's embarrassing when athletes from other countries show more respect for their flag than our own players do for ours. These Venezuelan players understand what it means to represent your nation with pride.

Exactly right. I've seen how emotional those Venezuelan players get during their anthem - meanwhile our guys look like they'd rather be anywhere else.

I coached youth baseball for 15 years and always taught my kids that wearing USA on your chest is the highest honor in sports. Seems like that message isn't getting through to the pros anymore.
