The Vermont independent and New York radical are pushing legislation that would pause AI infrastructure development, claiming they need time to craft more government regulations over an industry that's propelling America to technological dominance.
"We need serious public debate and democratic oversight over this enormously consequential issue," Sanders declared, apparently unaware that the free market already provides the most effective oversight mechanism known to mankind.

Make no mistake, Patriots – this isn't about protecting workers or preserving attention spans, as these leftist politicians claim. This is about government control over the most transformative technology of our generation.
While President Trump's administration is unleashing American energy dominance and cutting regulations to boost innovation, Sanders and AOC want to slam the brakes on progress. They're essentially arguing that bureaucrats in Washington know better than entrepreneurs and engineers about how technology should develop.
"AI and robotics are changing everything," the socialist duo admitted, yet their solution is to let Congress – the same institution that can barely manage a budget – regulate our technological future.

While Sanders and AOC want to handicap American AI development with red tape and regulatory delays, communist China is racing ahead with their own artificial intelligence programs. Beijing couldn't have asked for better allies in Congress than these two socialist saboteurs.
