In yet another shameless attack on federal immigration enforcement, Democrat New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill has signed dangerous legislation banning ICE agents and other law enforcement from wearing protective masks - essentially painting targets on their backs for radical leftist mobs.
The reckless new law prohibits Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents from concealing their identities while conducting operations, leaving them vulnerable to doxxing, harassment, and potentially violent retaliation from open-borders extremists and criminal networks.
But the Trump administration isn't backing down. The Department of Homeland Security has already declared they will NOT comply with this anti-law enforcement mandate that puts American heroes at risk.
Another Democrat War on ICE
This is exactly the kind of radical obstruction we've come to expect from blue state governors who care more about protecting illegal aliens than the brave men and women enforcing our immigration laws. Sherrill's move comes as President Trump ramps up his mass deportation campaign to secure our borders and restore law and order.
Think about this for a moment, Patriots: Democrat politicians want to defund the police, release criminals without bail, AND now they want to expose ICE agents to targeted violence. The hypocrisy is staggering - these same Democrats demand security details and protective barriers for themselves while deliberately endangering federal agents.
"This is nothing more than Democrat sabotage of President Trump's immigration enforcement," said one senior DHS official. "We won't let radical governors put our agents' lives at risk to score political points with the far-left base."
The mask ban essentially gives criminal cartels and their leftist allies a roadmap to identify and target the very agents working to keep our communities safe. It's obstruction disguised as transparency - and it could get people killed.
Governor Sherrill and her Democrat allies know exactly what they're doing. They can't stop Trump's deportation machine through legal channels, so they're resorting to dirty tricks that endanger lives.
