President Trump traveled to South Carolina on Tuesday, where his team touted a booming economy and warned that Democrats would undo his America First progress.
White House rapid response adviser Taylor Rogers, a Clemson alumna, spoke ahead of the commander-in-chief's visit to the home of the Clemson Tigers. "This is a town, this is a state that loves the president, they love his America first agenda, and they want to see it continue," Rogers said.
Record investment and job growth
Rogers credited President Trump with sparking economic success in the Palmetto State. "This is a president who has ushered in record investment to South Carolina," she said. "That's exactly why they are seeing jobs grow at a record pace."
The president's tax policies have put more money in the pockets of families and workers, Rogers said. "He's passed the working families tax cuts, and many seniors and workers are benefiting from his no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on social security."
No room for socialism
Rogers contrasted Trump's agenda with what she called the Democratic alternative. "The state of South Carolina does not want to see the Democrats regain control and undo all of the progress that the president has made for the state," she said.
"At the end of the day, this is a state that loves America. They do not want communism or socialism anywhere near their state," Rogers added.
Voters ready to show up again
South Carolinians have backed Trump in three straight presidential elections, and Rogers predicted they will do so again. "Just like they showed up for the president in 2016, 2020 and 2024, we will see them show up again to ensure that the president can continue to make the progress that he has," she said.
