President Trump tore into the Democratic Party's economic record on Monday, pointing to the sky-high inflation, crushing energy costs, and a record trade deficit that he says defined the last time 'Radical Democrats' held power in Washington.

In a video posted by the White House's Rapid Response team, Trump addressed a crowd about the contrast between his America First policies and the failed policies of the last Democratic administration.

'They gave us the worst inflation in American history, the highest energy prices in American history,' Trump declared. 'They gave us the worst trade deficit in American history, and they allowed 25 million people to pour across our borders from all over the world.'

Trump Warns Democrats Would Repeat Their Failures

Trump made clear that the consequences of a Democratic victory in the midterms would be dire for the economic progress made under his leadership.

'And if they win the midterms, they will do it again,' Trump warned. 'They'll get rid of the border, they'll get rid of all the tax cuts. We have no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on social security for my senior.'

The president's message underscores the stakes of the coming elections, framing the choice as between continuing his successful policies or returning to the failed economic agenda of the past.

'The last time the Radical Dumocrats had power, they gave us the worst inflation, highest energy prices, and worst trade deficit in American history, and allowed 25 million people to pour across our borders,' the White House account reiterated in the accompanying text. 'If given the chance, they'll do it all again.'
