President Trump opened a new offensive against Democrats on taxes and social issues, citing their unanimous opposition to his signature tax cuts and their stances on voter ID, the border, and transgender policies.
Speaking about the Working Families Tax Cut Act, Trump said, "With our Republican Congress, I signed the Great Big Beautiful Bill, delivering the largest tax cuts in American history, including no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on social security for our great sir."
Democrats Voted Against Tax Relief
The White House Rapid Response account highlighted that "Every single Dumocrat in Congress voted against our tax cuts."
Trump detailed the list of Democratic votes: "They voted against no tax on tips. They voted against no tax on overtime. They voted against no tax on social security for our seniors. They voted against voter ID because they want a cheat. They voted against proof of citizenship because they want a cheat."
Biden-Harris Record Blasted
Trump tied Democrats to the failures of the previous administration, saying they "voted in favor of the worst inflation and highest energy cost in American history."
He also accused Democrats of supporting "transgender mutilization of your children" and "men playing in women's sports."
The remarks, delivered during a campaign-style event, cast the midterm elections as a choice between Republican tax cuts and Democrat obstruction.
