VICTORY: American Medical Association ABANDONS Trans Surgery Push for Kids After Years of Radical Advocacy

In a stunning reversal that vindicates countless parents and conservative lawmakers, the American Medical Association (AMA) has quietly abandoned its aggressive push for transgender surgical procedures on minors, now admitting the evidence is "insufficient" to make definitive recommendations.

The nation's largest medical association told National Review this week that "the evidence for gender-affirming surgical intervention in minors is insufficient for us to make a definitive statement" – a complete 180-degree turn from their previous militant stance that branded such procedures as "medically necessary care."

This isn't just a policy shift – it's an admission that the medical establishment has been experimenting on children based on ideology rather than science. For years, the AMA was among the leading voices attacking states that tried to protect minors from irreversible surgical procedures, using their supposed "expert consensus" to shame parents and lawmakers who dared question the transgender agenda.

"Not 3 years ago, the AMA said that gender surgeries for minors was 'medically necessary care' and demanded that states permit it. Now they say 'whoopsie'. We are ruled by 'whoopsie' institutions,"

posted conservative commentator @politicalmath on X, perfectly capturing the institutional gaslighting Americans have endured.

Texas Republican Party Chairman Matt Rinaldi celebrated the reversal while pointing out the fight isn't over: "The AMA now reverses course on trans surgeries for minors. While this is a victory, it does not address hormones that chemically castrate children."

Political analyst A.G. Hamilton noted the convenient timing: "The AMA was among the leading groups opposing laws trying to restrict 'gender-affirming' surgeries for minors a few years ago. The press would regularly cite them to create an impression of expert consensus on this issue."

Another Win for Common Sense

This reversal comes as the Trump administration takes a firm stand against woke ideology infiltrating our institutions. It's yet another vindication of the America First agenda that puts protecting children above appeasing radical activists.

How many more "expert" institutions will quietly abandon their failed progressive positions now that real leadership is back in Washington? The American people deserve answers about who pushed this dangerous agenda on our kids – and accountability for those who silenced the parents who tried to stop it.

Praise the Lord! This gives me hope that we're turning the corner on this madness.

The fact that they're quietly backing away tells you everything. If the science was solid, they'd double down instead of retreating when faced with scrutiny.

I'm 68 years old and never thought I'd see the day when we'd have to fight to protect kids from their own doctors. Glad to see some sanity returning to medicine.

This is huge! How many other medical organizations will follow suit?

Hopefully the American Academy of Pediatrics is next. They've been pushing this agenda hard.

What about accountability for the doctors who performed these surgeries on minors over the past few years? Will there be any consequences for following these guidelines?

FINALLY! As a mother of three, I've been horrified watching medical professionals push these irreversible procedures on children who can't even decide what to have for breakfast. Thank God common sense is prevailing.

Same here! My kids are grown now but I can't imagine dealing with this pressure from doctors. Parents need to protect their children.

About time the AMA remembered the Hippocratic Oath - 'First, do no harm.' The Cass Review and European studies have been clear about the lack of evidence for these treatments.
