A legendary American Olympic hero is calling out a woke skier who claims he has "mixed emotions" about representing the United States on the world's biggest stage.

Hunter Hess, an American skier preparing for Olympic competition, sparked outrage after telling reporters it's "hard" to represent America right now. The ungrateful comments prompted a swift rebuke from Mike Eruzione, the captain of the 1980 U.S. hockey team that delivered the iconic "Miracle on Ice" victory over the Soviet Union.

"Then don't put on the USA uniform," Eruzione fired back at the entitled athlete. The hockey legend, who knows what it means to represent America when the stakes are highest, didn't mince words about Hess's anti-American attitude.

Patriots across social media are expressing their disgust with Hess's shameful comments. One user on X pointed out the obvious: "Everything made clear in the last paragraph. He's from Oregon; that says it all." Because of course this garbage is coming from the liberal wasteland of Oregon, where America-hating has become a sport.

"Then Don't Put On The USA Uniform": Miracle On Ice Legend Slams Skier Hunter Hess Over Controversial Olympic Comments," another social media user posted, capturing the sentiment of millions of Americans who are sick of spoiled athletes biting the hand that feeds them.

While President Trump is busy making America great again and restoring our nation's strength on the world stage, we have privileged athletes whining about representing the greatest country on Earth. This is exactly the kind of woke nonsense that real Americans rejected when they voted Trump back into office.

Eruzione understands what millions of patriots know: representing America is an honor and a privilege, not a burden. When he and his teammates faced down the mighty Soviet machine in 1980, they understood they were fighting for more than just a hockey game—they were representing American values and the American spirit.

How many young athletes would give anything for the chance to wear the red, white, and blue? Yet here's Hess, handed this incredible opportunity on a silver platter, and he's complaining about it.

Maybe it's time for Team USA to find athletes who actually want to represent America instead of apologizing for it.

BOOM! This is what happens when participation trophy culture meets international competition.

Good for that Olympic legend for speaking up! What exactly are the 'mixed emotions' about - the country that gave you the freedom and resources to pursue your Olympic dreams?

Right? The entitlement is off the charts with these young athletes.

Maybe she should compete for a different country if America isn't good enough for her? I'm sure there are other options available.

Finally someone with the guts to call this out! If you have 'mixed emotions' about representing America, then step aside and let someone who would be HONORED to wear the USA jersey compete instead.

Exactly! There are thousands of athletes who would give anything for that opportunity.

The Olympic legend is 100% right to slam this attitude. Representing your country should be the highest honor, not something you have 'mixed emotions' about!

I competed in college sports back in the 80s and would have crawled over broken glass for a chance to represent America. This generation just doesn't understand what an honor it is.

Same here! We understood what it meant to wear USA on your chest.

My son is in the military and would be disgusted by this attitude. When you represent America, you do it with PRIDE, not 'mixed emotions.'

Don't we fund Olympic training through taxpayer dollars? If so, this is even more insulting to hardworking Americans.
