In a stunning turn of events that has left the open-borders crowd scrambling, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals just handed President Trump and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem a MASSIVE victory on immigration enforcement Monday.
The appellate court issued a stay of a lower court ruling that had attempted to block Noem's termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designations for Nepal, Honduras, and Nicaragua – a clear vindication of the Trump administration's America First immigration policies.
This is the same 9th Circuit that spent Trump's first term obstructing his every move on border security. The fact that even THESE judges are now siding with common-sense immigration enforcement shows just how strong the administration's legal position really is.
Deep State Judges Try to Block America First Policies – AGAIN
Of course, some activist lower court judge initially tried to block Secretary Noem's decision to end these questionable TPS designations. Because heaven forbid we actually enforce our immigration laws and put American workers first, right?
But the 9th Circuit saw through this judicial activism and properly stayed the lower court's overreach. This allows the Trump administration to move forward with ending TPS for countries that no longer meet the criteria for temporary protection.
"The American people voted for immigration enforcement, not more excuses to keep people here illegally," one immigration policy expert told reporters. "Secretary Noem is doing exactly what she was appointed to do – enforce the law."
Part of Larger Immigration Enforcement Victory
This TPS victory comes as the Trump-Vance administration continues its historic crackdown on illegal immigration. With mass deportations already underway and border wall construction resuming, this ruling removes another legal obstacle to proper enforcement.
The timing couldn't be better. While Democrats and their media allies continue pushing their open-borders agenda, real courts are recognizing that temporary protection status was never meant to become permanent amnesty.
How many more legal victories will it take before the left finally admits that the American people want REAL border security, not more excuses to ignore our immigration laws?
