Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-Mich.) looked U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott directly in the eye and delivered a chilling message: "You better hope you get pardoned."
The threat came as Scott defended the Trump administration's aggressive border enforcement policies that have already begun dismantling the chaos left behind by four years of Biden's open border disaster.
"That's a threat," declared media personality Glenn Beck, who expressed deep alarm over Thanedar's words. "He didn't say, 'You violated the law, and you should be investigated.' What he said was, 'When power changes hands, we're going to punish you for enforcing the law.' That distinction is everything."
Beck's analysis cuts right to the heart of what makes this moment so dangerous. Thanedar wasn't alleging any actual wrongdoing - he was promising political retaliation for the crime of securing America's borders and enforcing immigration law.
