The radical left has spent decades convincing black Americans they're somehow different from other citizens — pushing divisive labels like "African-American" instead of simply "American." But as we celebrate America's 250th anniversary under President Trump's leadership, it's time to expose this con game for what it really is: a deliberate attempt to keep Americans divided.
For generations before the left's identity politics poisoned our culture, black Americans knew exactly who they were — Americans, plain and simple. They fought in our wars, built our communities, and contributed to the greatest nation on earth without needing a hyphen to define their citizenship.
So why did that change? Because Democrats realized they could maintain power by keeping Americans separated into neat little boxes, each group fighting for scraps instead of uniting under our shared values of freedom, opportunity, and constitutional rights.
The Left's Hyphenation Scam
Think about it, Patriots — when did you last hear a Democrat politician simply celebrate "Americans" without breaking us down by race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation? They can't do it because their entire political strategy depends on division.
The truth is, black Americans have every right to embrace their full American identity without apology. They don't need permission from white liberals to be patriotic. They don't need to apologize for loving the flag or supporting law and order or wanting secure borders.
"We are Americans first, last, and always. No hyphens, no qualifiers, no asterisks," one community leader recently stated. "The left wants us to see ourselves as perpetual victims instead of the proud Americans we are."
Under Trump's America First agenda, we're seeing more black Americans reject the left's victimhood narrative and embrace prosperity, entrepreneurship, and traditional values. Record-low black unemployment before COVID wasn't an accident — it was the result of policies that help ALL Americans succeed.
The time has come to reject the radical left's hyphenated citizenship once and for all. Black Americans aren't "African-Americans" who need special treatment — they're Americans who deserve the same opportunities, respect, and freedom as every other citizen.
Isn't it time we stopped letting Democrats divide us and started celebrating what unites us as one nation under God?
