While President Trump works tirelessly to fulfill his America First mandate and secure our southern border, radical Democrats are literally shutting down the Department of Homeland Security to block his efforts. Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D-MA) made it crystal clear on Bloomberg's "Balance of Power" Thursday that Democrats have no intention of backing down from their dangerous obstruction.
"We're not going to back down," Auchincloss defiantly declared, apparently proud that his party's intransigence has crippled the very agency responsible for protecting Americans from threats both foreign and domestic.
The Massachusetts Democrat had the audacity to blame the Trump administration for the shutdown, claiming it's "because this administration is insisting on a false choice to the American public." What's the supposed "false choice"? Enforcing immigration law and securing our border – you know, the basic job of government that 76 million Americans voted for in November.
Democrats Choose Politics Over Public Safety
Let's be absolutely clear about what's happening here: Democrats are so committed to maintaining their open borders agenda that they're willing to shut down homeland security operations. This is the same party that spent four years screaming about "threats to democracy" while they literally obstruct the democratically-elected president's efforts to protect American citizens.
"This administration is insisting on a false choice to the American public," Auchincloss said, apparently believing that enforcing immigration law is somehow unreasonable.
The Trump-Vance administration has been crystal clear about its priorities: complete the border wall, execute mass deportations of illegal aliens, and restore law and order to our immigration system. These aren't radical demands – they're the core promises that swept Republicans back into power.
Meanwhile, Auchincloss and his fellow Democrats are playing political games with national security. Every day this shutdown continues, our border remains more vulnerable, and Americans pay the price for Democratic obstruction.
Patriots need to ask themselves: If Democrats are willing to shut down homeland security to protect illegal aliens, what won't they sacrifice to advance their radical agenda? The answer should terrify every law-abiding American citizen.
